TruControl ™ is the world’s most advanced electric brake controller. TruControl™ reads the actual electrical current required by your trailer brakes. As heat builds in your trailer brakes, the TruControl™ compensates by increasing the voltage to maintain constant trailer braking force. This feature reduces the brake fade experienced in electric brake systems using conventional brake controllers.
TruControl™ detects the type of brake system on your trailer—electric or hydraulic. Either system is optimally controlled by TruControl. TruControl configures itself automatically to provide the smoothest, fastest response and most proportional tow vehicle to trailer brake response possible.
TruControl™ provides a unique approach to trailer brake gain setting. With the use of our Trailer/Tow Vehicle Configuration setting, the gain is automatically adjusted to provide smooth stops at any speed and over any terrain. This allows TruControl™ provide maximum stopping power at all times.

1. AUTOMATIC GAIN ADJUSTMENT – Automatic power out calibration for changes in speed, brake heat, or terrain. No more re-setting the gain between city and
highway driving.

3. TRAILER / TOW VEHICLE CONFIGURATION – Easy, one button configuration adjustment for tuning in the exact power required by your trailer and tow vehicle.
4. PWM BRAKING – Smooth braking transitions using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Braking Technology. This process turns the magnets on and off within thousandths of a second to increase power out and keep the magnets cool, giving your trailer brakes longer life.
5. DECELERATION SENSOR – Onboard deceleration sensor that requires one time calibration. Install the controller and you’re ready to Stop! Whether you’re driving down a hill or up an incline the onboard computer compensates and delivers the required power to your trailer’s brakes.
6. DRIVER FEEDBACK – Displays braking percentage and amps required by the brakes while braking. Displays warning messages when your stop light signal disconnects or trailer is disconnected. Displays short circuit messages when required.
7. NEW TECHNOLOGY DISPLAY – OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) display with contrast adjustment. Easy to read from any angle.
8. AUTOMATIC SHORT CIRCUIT PROTECTION – No fuses required, the hardware automatically tests for shorts on the brakes and stop light circuit.
